Agricultural Spraying
Scannell Spraying provides specialist agricultural spraying services across South Canterbury using modern GPS‑guided equipment and experienced operators to protect pasture and crops. We handle everything from timely broadacre spraying and targeted brush weed control through to total vegetation knockdown, helping local dairy, sheep, beef and arable farmers maximise yields, stay on top of problem weeds and get the right product on at the right time for South Canterbury’s unique conditions. Scannell Spraying will work alongside the client to ensure Health and Safety is followed.
Scannell Spraying can spray chemicals you have already on site (supply your own) or we work with your farm agronomist to supply specifically what is required for the job meaning you only pay for what you need (no remaining part containers left on farm).
Modern Fleet
Scannell Spraying offers three applicators so it can handle any size job and also last minute customer requests. This includes a 24m machine for the larger jobs and 2 x 18.5m 4×4 trucks. All machines are fitted with Tabula/Tracmap (proof of placement and direction to correct field) and run auto section GPS controlled shutoff. The 24m machine is equipped with auto steering.
Scannell Spraying also offers a gorse gun set up on a 4WD truck with twin 150m remote retractable hoses for any scrub control and weed control on local yards etc.
All gear is regularly maintained via relationships with key service providers from local vehicle dealerships through to a trusted local engineering company to ensure Scannell Spraying is always ready for the job. Avoiding cross contamination from crop to crop is front of mind and Scannell Spraying keeps a close eye on when machines need decontaminating to avoid any issues. Safe fill up points have been achieved at most properties because carting water from distances means downtime and additional cost.

With a 4×4 truck fitted with 1500 litre tank and twin 150m electric hose reels, we can do the complete job for you at a time that suits you avoiding your peak times and with minimal interruptions while adhering to all health and safety requirements.
